ISO 2 Letter Language Codes |
|
These codes are widely used in many different disciplines to represent different languages, for example for bibliographic purposes, in the library community and on multilingual websites. Using a code rather than the name of a language is useful as two unrelated languages may share the same or a similar name. Most of the world's major languages are represented by a two-letter code. The codes below are sorted alphabetically by language. |
